BASF appoints new head of global performance chemicals
BASF have appointed Patrick M. Prevost as president of the company's global performance chemicals operating division, based in Ludwigshafen, Germany, effective October 1, 2005.
He has been executive vice president of BASF Corp. and president of the chemicals, plastics and performance products regional division in North America. Joseph C. Breunig will succeed Prevost in these positions. Previously, Breunig served as group vice president of the company's functional polymers business in North America.
Prevost joined BASF in 2003 from BP Chemicals where he was head of strategy and planning based in London. Breunig joined BASF in 1986 and has worked in a variety of engineering, manufacturing, and marketing roles.
