Geox reports 31% growth in sales

Italian classic and casual footwear manufacturer, Geox S.p.A., has reported sales of €228.6 million for the first half of 2005, up 31% from €174.6 million in H1 2004. Net profit reached €37.3 million (16.3% margin) up 34%, compared with €28.0 million in the same period of 2004.

Footwear accounted for 96.6% of the company’s consolidated sales, growing by 29% as compared with the first six months of 2004. Italy, which remains Geox’s main market accounted for 49.2% of footwear revenues (54.1% in H1 2004), and recorded an 18% sales growth. In the international markets, sales increased by 43%.
