According to the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), over 1000 companies are exhibiting at the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) which began on September 7 in Shanghai. 15 foreign pavilions are also participating at the event from countries such as Australia, Brazil, Germany, India, Korea, Pakistan, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, US, and Italy.

Key domestic tannery or leather production centres, such as Xinji and Tongxiang, are well represented at the show, as well as relative newcomer to the shoe industry Shandong province which has a collective stand at the show.
