Pakistan’s leather imports improve

During July this year, Pakistan's leather exports reached $78.131 million, a growth of 1.369% compared to $77.078 million for June 2005.

According to data released by Federal Bureau of Statistics, the country exported finished leather worth $20.646 million, leather goods $44.346 million and footwear $13.141 million compared to $30.454 million, $40.596 million and $6.028 million respectively in previous month.  This showed finished leather exports fell by 32.21% but leather goods production increased by 9.24% and footwear by 118% from June 2005.
