The first Bangladesh-Singapore Foreign Secretary level Annual Consultations took place on August 16 at the Singapore Foreign Ministry, at which Bangladesh-Singapore bilateral relations were reviewed. The talks placed special emphasis on increasing Bangladesh's exports to Singapore, particularly regarding products such as leather goods, pharmaceuticals, and agro-products.

Both sides expressed satisfaction at the positive attitudes towards further strengthening bilateral cooperation including economic and commercial cooperation.
