China to be focus of the leather industry in September

The eyes of the leather industry will turn on China in September as the country hosts several important leather fairs.

The All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) will be held in Shanghai at the New International Expo Centre on September 1-3. Footwear brands from all over the world, stretching from Japan to Colombia, have reserved stands at the show, which is set to be a truly international event. There will be a Portuguese pavilion for the first time at the show with brands such as Coxx, Evereste, Fly London, Joia, and Tatuaggi amongst those that will participate.

On September 10-13, the first Dalian Fur Garment Exhibition will take place in the northern city of Dalian, in Liaoning province. There will be 200 booths, and the products on show will range from fur material to finished fur goods.

Another important show, the 13th China Xinji Leather Fair will take place on September 22-24 in Xiji city, Hebei province. Jointly sponsored by Hebei provincial government, China Light Industry Federation and CLIA, has been successful in attracting domestic and foreign visitors since 1993. Leather and fur garments, finished leathers such as upholstery leathers and shoe upper leathers, and a variety of finished leather goods will be the main focus of the event.
