Specialty retailer of leather outerwear, accessories and apparel in the United States, Wilsons the Leather Experts Inc. has reported that sales for the four weeks ended July 30, 2005 increased 6.0% to $19.5 million compared with $18.4 million for the four weeks ended July 31, 2004. Year-to-date sales decreased 6.8% to $142.7 million compared with $153.1 million for the same period last year.

As of July 30, 2005, Wilsons Leather operated 429 stores located in 45 states, including 305 mall stores, 109 outlet stores and 15 airport stores.
