US-based Ecovation, Inc., a provider of customised waste water treatment solutions has acquired the business and assets of Krofta Technologies Corp.

Krofta designs and sells dissolved air flotation (DAF) and integrated DAF and filtration (DAFF) water and wastewater treatment systems which are used to treat industrial and municipal process water and wastewater. More than 3,000 of its units have been installed around the world treating wastewater from tannery, food, pulp and paper, automotive, refinery, and petrochemical operations.

Based in Dalton, Massachusetts, Krofta will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ecovation, expanding the company’s offerings beyond its anaerobic biological treatment product, Mobilised Film Technology (MFTSM).

This acquisition adds technical strength in our quest to provide more full-service solutions to our clients,” said Ecovation’s chairman and chief executive officer, Diane C. Creel.
