Indian leather complex officially opened

A new leather complex was finally officially opened in Bantala, Kolkata, India on July 30 after months of problems and delays. Inaugurated by chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, 60 tanneries are expected to begin operations immediately, while the complex, which covers 1,100 acres, is eventually expected to house some 500 tanneries.
