Clariant reveals new colour trends for A/W 2006/2007

01/08/2005

Specialty chemicals company Clariant has launched its latest colour trend forecast for autumn/winter 2006/2007. Based on Modeurop, the trends show a colour harmony with balanced, rich shades. References to nature continue to be the focus, but ethnic influences can also be seen.

Clariant’s forecast is divided into three colour themes: Architecture, Folklore and Frescos:

- Architecture reflects a modern era in combination with colours of construction materials like stone, walls or steel, dominated by greys with interesting contrasts.

-Folklore combines beautiful images with brighter colours with melanges and multicolour effects. Red takes centre-stage and the falling temperatures of the winter are captured by greens and blues from petrol to ochre and amber.

- Frescos stands for the era of Renaissance, for the unforgotten works of Michelangelo and Albrecht Dürer, the colours are based on faded neutral tones with colours ranging from creamy beige to dark browns and dusty pastels.

The colour forecast from Clariant is published twice a year.
