Quanzhou’s shoe export rise in first 6 months

20/07/2005

In the first six months of this year, Quanzhou customs said that from January to June Quanzhou city exported 537.79 million pairs of shoes to a value of $1.062 billion, an increase of 26.58% and 26.64% compared with the same period last year. The average export price per pair saw a slight increase from $1.975 to $1.976, and the cost of manufacturing rose due to price increase of raw material.

Quanzhou’s shoe industry is expected to continue developing despite facing severe competition at home and abroad. Eventually, it is also hoped that Quanzhou becomes one of the three largest markets of raw material and accessories in the country, and continues to create even more famous brands.
