According to a recent report quoted by Riyadh Exhibitions Company (REC) Saudi Arabia’s footwear industry is growing at a healthy pace. With 15 footwear manufacturing units working at full capacity and an industry valued at over $600 million, Saudi Arabia has established itself as the largest apparel and leather market in the Middle East.

This, however, only caters for 25% of the local demand; the rest is by imports from Brazil, China, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Thailand, Korea, Turkey and the USA.
