Lineapelle announces Japanese winners of design contest
Lineapelle has announced the winners of this year’s student design competition, held annually in collaboration with Tokyo Leather Fair.
The winners, all students at top Fashion Institutes in Japan, were: 1st prize “Footwear”, Konen Kamo (aged 19); 2nd prize “Footwear”, Lee Jong Jin (28); 3rd prize “Footwear”, Ryohei Takahashi (19) ; 1st prize “Leather Goods”, Arata Higuchi (25); 2nd prize “Leather Goods”, Ichiro Tamakoshi (20); and third prize “Leather Goods”, Yuko Nakano and Miyuki Sugimoto (20).
The designs were focussed on the research and use of new materials, with abstract geometrical cuts.
The designers who ranked first in the footwear and leather goods categories will be offered a return journey to
