McRae Industries acquires assets from Texas Boot

McRae Industries, Inc. has completed its acquisition of certain assets from Texas Boot, Inc.

 

The assets purchased under the agreement include Texas Boot’s trademarks Laredo, J. Chisolm, Code West and Performair. McRae has also agreed to accept its outstanding accounts receivable and certain inventory.

 

Texas Boot has been operating as a debtor-in-possession in a case under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. McRae acquired the company at auction for a total purchase price of approximately $2.16 million.

 

The assets will be used by McRae’s subsidiary, Dan Post Boot Company, which markets and distributes primarily western footwear for men, women and children under the Dan Post, Dingo and American West brand names.

 

McRae Industries is involved in the manufacture and sales of bar code reading and related printing devices; manufacture and sales of military combat boots, western and work boots and selling, leasing and servicing office equipment.
