CTCCA appoints new director of market relations

Brazils’ CTCCA - the Leather, Footwear and Allied Trades Technology Centre - in Novo Hamburgo has appointed Hugo Garcia Rijo as its new director of market relations. Born in Uruguay he has lived in Brazil for the past 31 years and has worked in the footwear industry for over 30 years.

 

A textile engineer, Mr. García Rijo has mainly worked with textile shoe component manufacturers in the development of new products and solutions and has vast experience in nonwovens. In the past few years, he has worked as a consultant for both Brazilian and foreign companies in the area of product and market development.

 

One of Mr. García Rijo's main priorities for his term in office is to implement new strategic partnerships with companies operating in the footwear sector and the technical evaluation of textile products for use in footwear.
