The 8th Session of the Saudi-Bangladesh Joint Commission on Economic and Technical Cooperation was held on 14-15 June in Riyadh, at which the two sides agreed to promote cooperation and to increase an effective exchange of information about trade and market opportunities available in both countries for the promotion of exports.
Bangladesh proposed exporting leather goods, ready-made garments, jute products, pharmaceuticals and others commodities whilst the Saudi side expressed its desire to export polymers, fertiliser, iron, soda ash and dates to Bangladesh.
The two sides also agreed to enhance private sector cooperation by exchanging visits between the two countries business communities.
