Six shoe ranges from Calçados Bibi certified
CTCCA, Technology Centre for the Leather, Footwear and Allied Trades, of Novo Hamburgo, Brazil has awarded the "Comfort and Health Seal" for six ranges in the autumn/winter 2005 of Calçados Bibi.
Seeking to prevent irreversible foot malformation in children, Calçados Bibi develops its ranges on the basis of a detailed medical study by Dr. Egon Henning, Orthopeadics and Traumatology Professor at the University of Rio Grande do Sul, merit member of the Brazilian Foot Medicine and Surgery Society and corresponding member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. Dr. Henning's paper includes recommendations regarding both the criteria and materials to be used in the production of children's shoes. Later, the company requested scientific research from CTCCA leading to a definition of the standards of shoe lasts for each age range and applies them when developing new ranges.
The certified ranges are: Proteção, Roller Illumination, Roller System, Satélite, Tractor and Anti-impact.
