Organisers of the All China Leather Fair (ACLF), which is to be held in Shanghai in September, have announced that representatives of the European Shoe Wholesale Association will attend the show in order to meet China’s shoe-making factories on site.
The secretary of the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), Mr. Su Chao Ying, said that at present the number of the European mission exceeds 20 and is still increasing. Meetings between Chinese shoe producers and European merchants will take place September 7-8 and the wholesalers will also be given tours of some shoe factories located around Shanghai.
The CLIA has also announced that the 2005 China (Shiling) Leather & Leather Goods Fair is to take place October 28-31 in Huadu, Guangzhou. The Shiling fair will be jointly sponsored by China Light Industry Federation, Guangzhou municipal government and the CLIA with the support of Hong Kong Trade Promotion Bureau.
