Pakistan expected to report rise in hide and skin production

According to Pakistan's Economic Survey 2004-2005, released by the Ministry of Finance, Pakistan is expected to produce 8.6 million hides and 42.6 million skins by the end of the current fiscal year 2004-05 (July-June). This is a slight increase compared with the 8.4 million hides and 41.4 million skins produced in the year 2003-2004. The data also forecast that cattle production would reach to 24.2 million, buffalo 26.3 million, sheep 24.9 million and goats 56.7 million compared with 23.8 million, 25.million, 24.7 million and 54.7 million respectively last year.
