Serbian Assistant Minister of Finance Goran Andjelic has announced a bill on customs tariffs, which the Serbian government has submitted to the parliament for adoption, urging an increase in tariff rates for 175 products in order to protect domestic production, especially in view of the harmonisation of economic relations between Serbia and Montenegro.

Andjelic explained that the government hopes that a higher tariff rate will be added to imports of leather goods, furniture, agricultural products and white goods.
