Austrian automotive, aircraft, boat, upholstery, and, garment leather producer, Wollsdorf Leder has announced that it has expanded its production facilities with the addition of a further tannery in Wilhelmsburg.

This facility was acquired from WB Lederzeugungs GmbH in September 2004 and after undergoing a €1 million modernisation is now ready to go into production. The Wilhelmsburg is focusing on upholstery and aircraft leather production and has a capacity of 400 hides a day. The company’s main plant in Styris will focus on automotive leathers.

The company stated that expansion was needed as turnover has increased by 30% over the last two years.
