Lear ordered to pay $30 million to Seton

27/05/2005

A US court has ordered Lear Corporation to pay $30 million to automotive leather products company, Seton Company, as a result of a breach of contract suit against Lear. The case was tried to a jury in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Seton, of Troy Michigan, filed the case in 2002, arguing that Lear breached an agreement to purchase leather from Seton for the General Motors GMT 800 programme.
