Dhaka-Hanoi trade agreement signed

At the end of a three day official visit to Vietnam, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and Vietnamese counterpart Phan Van Khai announced that they had signed agreements to boost trade between the two countries, setting a target of $ 100 million bilateral trade by 2008.


The leaders identified specific areas for increased trade that include garments, leather, accessories, and jute.
