2,000-year-old shoe unearthed
Archaeologists in Southern England have dug up what is believed to be Britain's oldest shoe, dating from about 2000 years ago, which has been discovered in a hollowed-out tree trunk in a quarry. The leather shoe is approximately 30 cm long and is believed to have belonged to a man.
