About 11 million women in the USA alone cannot find fashionable shoes because shoe stores typically stop at size 10. These women need size 11 and up. Today Forgotten Soles has launched a brand devoted only to those women who need sizes 11 to 15.

This new collection is available in 15 retail stores around the US and the Caribbean. Two important trends have been cited as the cause for women having larger size feet. Firstly, more of the business of selling women's shoes has gone to department stores, which are not interested in expanding the range of sizes they offer.

Secondly, in the 1970's, schools rushed to comply with Title IX of the federal Education Act and made active sports much more accessible to young women. This younger generation of women grew up playing sports and that has resulted in more bone growth in their feet. So these women have bigger feet but no shoes to buy.
