Pakistan to allow tax free imports from India

According to a press release published by the government, Pakistan has agreed to allow duty and tax free imports of four essential commodities and one million head of cattle per year from India, worth an estimated $40 million, by rail and land routes.

 

The decision was taken at a meeting presided over by Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on the recommendations of the Committee on Prices of Essential Items in order to address the rise in prices of essential goods In Pakistan.
