Good turnout at Footwear London

13/04/2005

Organisers of Footwear London at Olympia have reported a good turnout at the April 2005 show, with a steady flow of visitors throughout the event.

Show director David Wilkins said that positive feedback had surpassed his expectations, representing an increasing confidence in the late-season buying event in London. Since its launch last year, the show has grown by 24% in terms of the number of exhibitors.

“While the idea of a late-season buying show isn’t going to be right for everybody, having a good range of brands and wholesalers sharing the same space makes it an inviting showcase and it has clearly started to prove itself after only two seasons. As always, meeting the needs of buyers is a prime focus and a late fixture in the capital suits a lot of people. Our plans for Footwear London are to continue to develop it as comprehensively as possible to make life easy for buyers, just as we did at the NEC with our earlier mainstream launch show, Footwear UK”.

The next Footwear London show takes place at Olympia, on October 2-4, 2005.
