Visitor numbers for China Shoe and China Shoetec surge 120%

The 2005 China Shoes and China Shoetec Expo, scheduled for April 21-24, in Dongguan, Guangdong province, is set to welcome more visitors than the previous show. According to its organisers, there has been an 120% increase in the number of pre-registered visitors and it is anticipated that this figure could increase to 150% by the time the show opens.

 

Many key footwear brands and manufacturers from China and abroad will show middle to high end collections at the exhibition. Around 57% of exhibitors are from Hong Kong and Taiwan, 35% from PR China, with the rest coming from Portugal, Belgium, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, UK, Mexico, and India.

 

Key footwear associations will also attend. Many foreign associations including the Vietnam Leather and Footwear Association, and the Philippine Footwear Federation Inc. have already confirmed their presence.

 

According to the organisers, six key international and Chinese regional footwear pavilions have been designated, including Portugal, Hong Kong, Taiwan and three from shoe producing regions such as Wenzhou, and Huizhou.
