Illustrating the global trend away from clothing towards accessories, British Fashion house Mulberry has reported a 50% increase in sales in the first eleven weeks of the year ended April 2, 2005. The company also announced that it is likely to exceed the forecasts for the full year, ended March 31, that are expected to be released in May.

Mulberry, based in Bath, UK, has 13 retail outlets in the UK and further outlets in Europe, Japan and the United States.
