Lanxess increases price for active ingredient TCMTB

Effective April 15, 2005, Lanxess Deutschland GmbH will increase its prices worldwide for the active ingredient TCMTB 80% by €0.70 per kilogramme. This increase is said to be necessary owing to the rise in cost for raw materials and auxiliaries. TCMTB ([2-benzothiazolyl-thio]methylthiocyanate) is used mainly in the leather industry as a preservative, and also in sawn timber and paper applications.
