Z-Coil Footwear defends its name

Z-CoiL Footwear, US producer of pain-relief footwear, has recently featured on New York City CBS television station, which presented the footwear’s properties in a favourable light. This comes six weeks after a report outlining possible dangers of wearing the footwear was screened by the Good Housekeeping Institute.

“We were very discouraged by the report and the testing methods,” says Andrés Gallegos, Z-CoiL President and CEO. “People were randomly put in the footwear, which did not guarantee correct fittings. The Z-CoiL fitting experience sets us apart from any other shoe on the market.” Z-Coil footwear is custom-fitted for each individual and a fitting may take more than an hour. Some customers need follow up visits for additional fitting needs, he added.

Z-Coils are designed with a rigid orthotic plate designed to offer stability, protection and support to the foot, combined with a one-inch-thick neoprene forefoot to cushion each step and a tempered steel coil under the heel to absorb body weight. The result is a unique-looking shoe that many customers report provides immediate and unmistakable relief from the shock of impact and associated discomfort in the foot, leg or back area.
