Danier Leather to close its three US stores

Designer, manufacturer, and  retailer of leather and suede clothing and accessories Danier Leather Inc. has announced that it is to close its three retail stores  in the United States in order to focus its resources on its Canadian operations. Two of the stores to be closed are located on Long Island, New York, the other is located in Paramus, New Jersey. 

 

"We would rather focus our attention on generating the superior returns from our Canadian operations that we have achieved in the past," said Jeffrey Wortsman, president and CEO of Danier Leather.

 

Annual savings from the closure of the US operations are expected to be approximately CDN $1.0 million (US$825,510).
