23/03/2005

On Saturday March 12, 2005, Mod’Amont, the fashion supplies and trimmings trade fair ended its 19th session on a positive note, confirmed by the numbers attending the event that took place alongside Première Vision. Over 20,000 international trade visitors from the spectrum of fashion sectors participated in this session and showed a keen interest in the broader offering provided by a growing number of exhibitors.

Transport strikes all over France and especially in the Paris region which disrupted the second day of the fair slightly reduced the number of French buyers, but this drop was countered by a sustained international presence.

Visitor numbers increased to 20,092 compared with 19,869 in February 2004, despite the strikes. 13,271 visitors came from outside France, making 66% of the total. With a rise in the number of American (+ 25%) and Japanese (+ 33%) visitors, there was a general mood of positivity at the show.

721 buyers from the footwear and leather goods sector attended the event (+14.28% on February 2004).
