Reports state that the BLC-Fangyuan (Haining) leather and leather products test centre, which was jointly established by Zhejiang Fangyuan Test Group and BLC leather technology centre in UK in 2003, is applying for official approval  for its CB laboratory. The centre is BLC’s first branch in Asia.

China’s leather industry has praised the establishment, claiming that it has proved very valuable for Haining’s tannery and leather goods producers in dealing with technological or chemical issues.
