Soft Sole, a US footwear accessory specialist, has launched a range of performance insoles in the UK, manufactured using Implus, a breathable material developed to provide shock absorption and to allow an easy flow of air and moisture. The company says the benefit of Implus is the reduction of foot pain and lower body fatigue through even pressure distribution, good fit and comfort.

The range includes the Performance Athlete Plus and the Comfort Airr soles, constructed with the Implus Cellular Cushioning System designed to provide a breathable, shock absorbent and durable footbed. There is also the Performance Stable Trac sole designed to provide dynamic stability. Weighing less than two ounces (approximately 50g) it has a dual density arch cradle on heel strike which cushions the impact forces and stabilises the foot through the gait cycle, says the company.
