There are two types of logos, one for English meat, showing a patchwork field design and the flag of St George, and one for Scottish and Welsh meat, a similar mark with a Union flag. The mark will accompany best quality meat from young animals not used for breeding. The meat must be given 14 days to mature prior to sale and show exceptional succulence and tenderness.
