Retail sector highlighted at MOTEXHA

The Middle East’s growing retail sector is driving new developments at MOTEXHA, a trade show for the fashion, textile and leather industry.

The show’s Spring edition, to be held April 11-14, at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, has strengthened retail initiatives by announcing daily ‘LaunchPad’ trade fashion shows featuring international brands seeking Middle East partnerships. 70% of LaunchPad’s exhibitors are new to the Middle East with Italian fashion and leather brands leading the line-up.

“Fashion business is big business in the Middle East region. MOTEXHA has always been quick to respond to changing trends in the fashion and trade industry by providing industry players new forums to support their business needs. According to recent reports, franchising accounts for 50% of the Middle East’s retail economy. Thus, forums such as LaunchPad play a vital support role,” said Suman Manian, the show’s manager.

“LaunchPad, which was first initiated at the last show in autumn 2004, is a showcase of international fashion brands looking for franchise opportunities. It was a huge success as our exhibitors reported successful deals and genuine enquiries from agents and entrepreneurs.”

MOTEXHA  will also feature an Indonesian and Romanian pavilion for the first time. 250 exhibitors from 20 countries are expected to participate at the show with strong emphasis on the show’s specialist areas - PURE Branded Wear, KidZone, EuroTrendz, Fashion Boulevard and Trends Forum.
