30,000 visit the WSA show

17/02/2005

The World Shoe Association, which hosted the WSA Show in Las Vegas, February 5-8, has said that the event marked a positive start to the year, attracting over 1,600 exhibitors and over 30,000 visitors. Record overall participation of 33,872 registered participants was achieved in spite of the fact that the show clashed with showing of Americans’ favourite Super Bowl game

The WSA added many new features to the February 2005 event. Including a process of mandatory registration for buyers so as to give the industry a clearer idea of who is buying which products.

Retail buyers previewed autumn/winter lines from US and international designers, including those of the more than 200 new exhibitors who were added to the February Show. Many trade associations also participated such as the National Shoe Retailers Association (NSRA), US Retailers Association (USRA) and Brazil’s Abicalcados.

Designers, manufacturers and retailers in the footwear industry will again converge at the WSA Show in Las Vegas, August 4-7, 2005.
