17/02/2005

Swiss specialty chemical company, Clariant, has announced that its Business Unit Leather and America’s Tannin Corporation have agreed to engage in close technical co-operation aimed at improving their services in producing selected finishing chemicals.

From February onwards, special Clariant pull-up oils and waxes will be produced in Tannin’s production facilities in Peabody, MA, USA. Both companies said they are looking to share their technical and manufacturing know-how to offer their worldwide customers the best products and performance.

The manufacturing capacities of Tannin enables Clariant to further improve their specialised pull-up rangeThe move is seen as being particularly advantageous for Clariant’s American based affiliate, which is continuously focusing on the research and development of these typically American-style products, and is stepping ahead by working hand in hand with Tannin. The total new finishing range will be distributed through the worldwide Clariant leather organisation.
