Maltese customs have seized three containers of fake footwear and garments imitating famous brands such as Hugo Boss, Gucci, Nike, Giorgio Armani, Adidas and Timberland. The 20-foot-containers came from China and were destined for North Africa.

The discovery was made through the on-going monitoring of containers and documentation. The total number of seizures in the two months of 2005 has now reached 20 containers.
