India’s Aero Club plans expansion

Indian leather footwear manufacturer, Aero Club (Pvt) Ltd., based in New Delhi, has announced that it has implemented a programme aimed at doubling its production capacity.

 

The company plans to increase the capacity for its overall leather footwear production from 15,000 pairs/day to 30,000 pairs/day at cost of Rs 150 million ($3,438,789). Two units which will each have a capacity of 7,500 pair are being set up at Baddi in Hamachal Pradesh and in Uttranchal. The faciilties are scheduled to go into production in 2006.
