Two thirds of the exhibition area will be devoted to exhibiting shoes and the remaining third will focus on shoe machinery and footwear accessories, according to the organisers.

Noting the increasing influence the show has in the industry, many domestic and foreign shoe and leather associations have become involved in the event, including the Wenzhou Leather Industry Association, Chengdu Shoes Industry Association, the Hong Kong Leather Shoe and Shoe Material Merchants' Association, the Malaysian Footwear Manufacturers' Association, the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry, and the Taiwan Footwear Manufacturers’ Association etc.

Meanwhile, the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) has announced that it is organising a group of representatives from leather and fur businesses to attend the LESHOW, which is to be held in Moscow June 30 to July 2, 2005. The CLIA has already contacted the country’s key leather and fur companies and said a pavilion of Chinese enterprises would be set up during LESHOW. Seeing new opportunities for China’s leather goods following the lowering of the import tariffs of eastern European countries after entry to EU, the CLIA has offered to provide more help to China’s leather enterprises to open up the market in Russia and other eastern European countries.
