Eybl International AG announces strong figures for first nine months of 2004/05

01/02/2005

Eybl International AG, Austria’s major automotive components supplier and textile manufacturer, has announced strong figures for the first three quarters of financial year 2004/05 with sales revenues at €252m ($328.5 million) and a total order intake of €448m, levels similar to the previous financial year.

Sales revenues and profits in the first three quarters of 2004/05 are regarded as satisfactory by the company but reflect current low levels of production in the European automotive industry. The third quarter saw particularly depressed turnover and order intake of only €47m due to prolonged holiday closures and low year end inventories.

The fabrication business contributed €175.4m, 69.7% of overall sales revenue. Textile production posted revenues amounting to €48.6m, 19.3% of the total. The interiors and services businesses contributed a combined 11.0% with €27.7m.

Despite the continuing stagnation of the European automotive industry Eybl’s management is confident that results for financial 2004/05 will be close to target and that the group will continue to consolidate its position in the marketplace.
Eybl International specialises in the production of autotextiles, the fabrication of cloth, leather and combination cloth/leather seat covers and the covering of special interior trim parts. Headquartered in Krems, Austria, the group employs some 4,400 people at 15 locations in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Spain.
