Elizabeth Bartlett launches comfortable stilettos in Autumn/Winter collection

28/01/2005

Elizabeth Bartlett will launch its new women's shoe line during the January Footwear Fashion Association of New York (FFANY) and at the February World Shoe Association (WSA) show in Las Vegas. The line is said to fill a current marketplace void of fashion forward, eye-catching, high heel stilettos that also happen to be comfortable.

Elizabeth Bartlett, the founder, believes that "style shouldn't hurt and comfort doesn't have to be ugly". The collection targets busy women (in their 20s to 50s) on the go who demand fashion forward, elegant and eye-catching shoes that feel comfortable. It includes over 25 contemporary and classic styles handcrafted in Italy that will be introduced in women's shoe salons at major retailers and independent stores in the USA. Retail prices start from $225.

The shoes incorporate a comfort technology that makes the heel height feel lower, the company says. This is reportedly achieved by shifting the weight back to the heel and reducing the pressure from the ball of the foot. Use of impact absorbing, moisture resistant materials and special padding also encourage better overall comfort and fit, according to Elizabeth Bertlett.

The core team of this Seattle-based women's shoe company is supported by European-influenced design and development experts, including an Italy-based designer who has bolstered the line.
