Mulberry seasonal sales increase

24/01/2005

UK-based luxury fashion retailer, Mulberry, has reported a sales increase of 15% for the period before Christmas. The growth in the five-week period, ended January 1, 2005, has been attributed to a marked increase in sales of the company’s leather handbag range, that could arguably be seen as the brand’s most well-known product.

This is all good news for the company that announced the first ever profit in December 2004. The company says financial results for the year ending March 31, 2005 are likely to exceed forecasts, especially considering that it already has orders for its spring ranges worth in excess of £1 million.
