Crocs Footwear’s new management to go international

Crocs Footwear, manufacturer of comfort shoes, has named Ron Snyder as the company's chief executive officer and Caryn Ellison as its chief financial officer. Crocs founder George Boedecker will remain on the directors’ board. Snyder and Ellison plan to continue growing the company and the Crocs brand by building international distribution, increasing shoe sales and expanding the company's product lines.

 

Snyder has been serving as the company's president, prior to which he was Senior Vice President and a corporate officer of global manufacturer Flextronics International. He was also a founder of the Dii Group, Inc., an electronics manufacturing company where he led manufacturing operations, headed corporate development and mergers and acquisitions, and led global sales and marketing.

 

Ellison was previously  president of Classic Sport, a Broomfield, a sporting goods manufacturer. Before joining Classic Sport, Ellison served as CHO of Zand Herbal Formulas and as CFO and vice president of Alfalfa's Markets, a chain of natural supermarkets. Before that Ellison held various positions at Celestial Seasonings.

 

Crocs Footwear is made from a proprietary closed cell resin (PCCR) that warms and softens with the body's heat, while moulding to the foot. Crocs, which resemble clogs, are sold in more than 1,900 retail locations across the USA. The company was established in 200 with comfortable, functional and fashionable boat shoes in mind. Today Crocs enjoy popularity among boaters, athletes, outdoor enthusiasts, doctors, chefs, celebrities and families.
