Pakistani specialty chemical manufacturing company, Shafi Reso-Chem, recently held a seminar entitled “Technical discussion on fashion forecast 2005-2006” in Karachi and Lahore. The seminar, attended by the company’s premier customers, promoted the latest and upcoming fashion trends in the global leather industry, from a local viewpoint with local manufacturers in mind.

The event also highlighted technical education for its customers in order to increase competitiveness in the market place. Italian leather technicians from ALPA, Zulliani Germano and Allesio Milli, flew in to Pakistan to join the meeting and to offer technical advice to the manufacturers attending. They also offered on-site assistance and advice to tanneries based in Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot and Kasur.
