The centre has introduced this new range of tests in response to customer demand as a result of more and more legal requirements placed on retailers and manufacturers and the market pressures to provide a quality, comfortable and aesthetically appealing products. Having recently gained UKAS accreditation for a range of footwear tests BLC can now offer this package to its customers.
With a proven track record in providing leather testing has meant that the transition into footwear testing has been a natural step, although BLC has made a sizeable investment in its new footwear testing facility which provides the capability to measure the performance of footwear to ensure that it meets appropriate performance requirements for quality and safety.
