Pittard’s managing director of shoe and leathergoods joins SATRA board
SATRA has appointed the managing director of the shoe and leathergoods division at British company Pittards to its board of directors. Steve Johnson, who has been named as a non-executive director, will now take a significant part in the decision-making processes at SATRA – the largest research organisation of its kind employing 180 scientists, technologists and staff, and having over 1,500 members in 70 countries.
"I have more than 25 years of experience in the leather industry, much of that concerned with the development of international trade. I have also had close involvement with the whole supply chain, from raw hides and chemicals through to the final customers. I hope that these aspects of my background will help in my role on the SATRA board," said Mr Johnson.
