According to organisers of Pielespaňa the stage is set for a successful show January 21-24, 2005, after confirmation was received from many of the large names in the tanning and leather industries that they will be attending the event in Barcelona. Visitors from over 51 countries are expected. The event covers the suede; nappa and double face; tanned goods; furs; small leather goods and accessories; trimmings; chemicals and machinery sectors. There will be a special focus this year on welcoming and promoting trade with the new EU countries.

Apart from the business side of the show, a larger area has also been allotted to promote leather fashion and design. The “Young Talents” competition will be held for the second year running, in which young designers from national and foreign fashion schools will be awarded for creativity and design. The fashion show area will also showcase the latest products and trends for autumn/winter 2005-2006.
